Why I'm Speaking Out: They’re Taking Too Much from Us

I’m frustrated. I’m scared. And I’m done staying quiet.

The man running this country is not leading us — he’s tearing us down. The recent bill that just passed is another slap in the face to everyday people. They’re cutting federal aid funding, gutting programs that help families put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads. As if that weren’t enough, they’re also cutting public television funding — one of the few free educational resources left for children and families.

Republicans, both men, and women in power, seem to care more about money and control than about the people they represent. It feels like they don’t want kids to learn, grow, or have a future. It feels like they want the rest of us to live with less — less help, less hope, less opportunity.

This isn’t just policy. It’s personal. Because these decisions hurt real people. They hurt our children. They hurt our future.

We deserve better than this.
